For the love of understatement

When I was a child, most people around me didn’t have that much income, so they only bought things they truly needed or loved. My parents were very intentional about every purchase. Before buying a bag, for example, they would reflect whether it was well-made and study enough to be used for a very long time. On the other hand: Shopping isn’t a fulfilling experience anymore. Most of the products available in stores seem designed to be disposable, and well-made items were considered ‘luxury goods’, with price tags that are calling high numbers for prestigious brand awareness, but not based on quality.

Since 2014 I design and engineer products for uncompromising people, that seek for the highest level of quality, they were used to get in the past.

I was named as a ‘Maker with a vision’ by the MONOCLE Entrepreneurs Guide and nominated for the German Design Award – ‘Excellent Product Design’.
